Before this Nantucket, MA singer really caught our attention, she released two albums from an independent label. These albums from 2011 never really caught on, but I’m sure that her unique style is evident in them. Hey, fun fact: she has song credits for songs by the Rascal Flatts and Sabrina Carpenter.
The 20-year-old bombshell debuted her funky, pop voice with her single that’s got everyone talking ‘bout that bass, ‘bout that bass... no treble. Sure, the songstress has taken some heat recently regarding the lyrics to her popular song, but I think people are just reading too far into her song. With that said, I would like to address said criticism.
Since her controversial hit was released this summer, she created an EP entitled, wait for it, Title. The album includes “All About That Bass,” “Title,” “Dear Future Husband,” and “Close Your Eyes.”

Her music has a unique and interesting sound, in my opinion. I think she has something good going, and she’s not emulating anyone. I hope that throughout her career, she’ll continue being herself and not try to become another famous name. We all know that it happens, but I think she’s too awesome for that to happen to her.
