Right now, TV shows like Twisted, The Fosters, Gossip Girl, Pretty Little Liars, and How I Met Your Mother are all in the collection. Shows like Twisted and Gossip Girl have been cancelled, so you can easily binge watch the entire series. However, I wouldn’t really recommend it. Wait until there’s like a snowstorm or something because once you start, believe me, it’s very difficult to stop. On the other hand, I caught with The Fosters via Netflix so that I could watch the next season as it premiered. It was super easy to use, and there were no commercials.
The series that I would most recommend on Netflix is predictable: Gossip Girl. You don’t understand until you watch it. Trust me. Not only is it full of drama and wonderfulness, but there are also really great quotes and powerful scenes. As I get older, I find myself appreciating quotes more and more, and let me tell you, Gossip Girl is full of them.
I have also heard good things about Scandal and Orange is the New Black. Still, there are more TV shows than I could possibly list in one post, so if you find yourself at home on a rainy or snowy day, just sign up for Netflix and get your watching on.
As for movies, the only problem with Netflix is that it takes some time getting movies in the collection. However, there are some good picks. For example, Safe Haven is a part of the collection. It’s probably my favorite Nicholas Sparks book/movie because it isn’t so terribly sad. Mostly, it has a pretty good ending unlike The Notebook, when, spoiler alert, the couple dies.
I also enjoy the Center Stage movies, which are all about the arts. I think there are like two of them in the collection now, but I wouldn’t give them a try if you’re not into dance movies. If you are interested, though, First Position and Fame High are also available.
One of the best parts of Netflix, in my opinion, is the amount of Disney movies. Mulan, Hercules, Tarzan, The Cheetah Girls, and Robin Hood are just a few. I was really excited to see both the Camp Rock movies as well. I must admit that they’re my favorite. Plus, there are some taped musicals like Shrek. There are also some throwback TV shows like Hannah Montana too.
A really cool thing about Netflix too is that it is starting to have its own original series. House of Cards premiered on Netflix and now can be watched at your leisure. Just another reason to check out the amazing collection.
Whether you have Netflix or not, you have to admit that it’s the go-to place for entertainment (just like this blog right). The collection is always evolving and changing, so it’s always a good idea to check out what’s new! Happy kommenting :)
